Here is a sampling of some of our websites we have created.
United Way of Mason County
United Way's new website features a pre-fabricated template which was customized to fit their needs and styles. Customized versions of existing templates require less time and cost to complete because much of the work has already been done. Many prefab templates are availble for the choosing and we can provide links for browsing and selecting one that would match the theme of your proposed site.
Keeping things simple, United way has opted for only two extra components. You'll notice the web links module allowing them to link to others sites and enter into reciprocal linking agreements. Reciprocal links are where you link to a link with the agreement that they will also link to you. Search engines like this practice as it integrates the many sites on the Internet. They therefore base part of your page ranking (this translates into how high you show on search results) on how many sites link to you. Reciprocal linking is a good way to help your search engine results.
The other component is the contact us form allowing visitors to send emails to contacts at your organization without the use of an email client. They simply fill out a form and the website will send the email for them. This component also displays other contact information such as phone number, address and email address.
Successful Horse
Welcome to Successful Horse, a website designed to be a resource for it's visitors through informational and engaging articles. This site offers a blog under the title "Trainer's Corner" providing regular articles on training and the ability for visitors to make their own comments on these articles therefore adding to the site's content. Spam protection is employed through security images where visitors must correctly type the characters they see on the screen.
An event calendar keeps interested parties up to date on clinics and other activities while a regular newsletter is composed right from the site's backend administration interface. Visitors may subscribe or unsubscribe themselves from this list automatically and existing website content can easily be added to a newsletter publication.
This site includes the ability to show customised web forms to the visitor and is currently using this feature to provide a satisfaction survey. The results of this survey can be emailed or saved to a csv file for use in a spreadsheet.
Also provided is a simple online store allowing visitors to collect items into a shopping cart and pay for their purchase all at one time. In this case, a payment processor was already available and we integrated the website into this existing functionality. Paypal is another excellent option for small quantities of online sales.
Closson's Jewelry
Closson's Jewelry is an example of an online shop complete with secure payments. The shopping experience uses Paypal to accept all major credit cards as well as those who have an existing Paypal accounts.
A custom template was designed to fit the style and functionality requirements of this site by presenting the visitor with a colorful array of photography and, once inside, information about services and an inventory of jewelry. Customers may add products to their shopping cart and, when ready, checkout and pay once for all products they have selected. Photographs are available for each product listed and a featured product is displayed randomly in the sidebar with each page refresh.
Closson's is able to present the visitor with specials and discounts and make changes to these and any other content on the website at their discretion... all from a unified backend interface.
Center Lake Bible Camp
Center Lake Bible Camp in Tustin, Michigan is another example of the many possiblities in a content managed website. The camp has many pages of information to be presented to visitors and they needed to be able to keep these pages up to date without the hassel of a middleman. Through the use of an online editor (standard with our content managed websites) and some simple training, the camp can make whatever changes whenever they see fit.
This site also features an online calendar, an extensive downloads section named Forms and Brochures allowing visitors to download and print PDF documents just as they were meant to be seen. The integrated photo album allows Center Lake to post photos during each week of summer camp allowing families of those attending to enter a password and browse the pictures from the week.
A online forms component allows Center Lake to gather responses to registrations and surveys saving the results as in a spreadsheet for use around the office. They also plan to add Paypal as an online payment option for select events at the camp.
